Did you know we didn't start out as a community centre? Back in 1919, there became interest in creating a school for residents children to attend. It wasn't until 1927, the building was created. It only had one room. In future years the school expanded to two classrooms and a gym. The school had 30 students. By 1995 there was not enough students to keep the school running, that is when it was renamed as the community centre. As the community centre still stands today, we hold a motto "generations of tradition". "As the only school in the community, it has high recognition among our residents fond memories of those who hold Waterton in their heart". Today, the Waterton Park Community Association (WPCA) keeps the centre lively as it is used for events, weddings, festivals, conference meetings, and family reunions.
